Reichsmarine Full Dress by tsd715 Reichsmarine Full Dress by tsd715
Back to some alternate uniforms.  This is the summer dress uniform worn by the Imperial Navy when the temperature is between 50 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit (between 10 and 27 degrees Celsius).  This uniform is also worn as a service uniform for those on shore in desk jobs, such as at the Ministry of Defense.  In these cases, it is worn without gloves, with a nameplate and service ribbons, and with a dark blue peaked cap instead of the white version shown here.  The rank (in this case leutnant zur see) is indicated by the shoulder boards and the one stripe on the cuff.  All ranks' cuff insignia feature a crown above the stripes.  All commissioned officer ranks have four rows of buttons on the coat, while petty officers have only three.
